Define "natural" because birth is one of the most natural things that a woman's body accomplishes. A doula is for every type of birth. A lot of people hear the word "doula" and think of this hippie, flower-child, crunchy-granola woman who lights incense and cleanses the delivery room with sage, etc. I AM NOT THAT PERSON. If that's the kind of birth you're looking for I can almost guarantee you will seek doula support elsewhere. I am down to Earth, educated and pro-mom. I support WHATEVER type of birth you are envisioning. If you want to go unmedicated, if you'd like an epidural for pain, if you want to labor at home as long as possible, if you know you're going to have a c-section, if you're scared of the process: whatever the case may be. Between my job on the postpartum unit at my local hospital, my lactation counselor certification, my doula training and my own personal experiences I am more than qualified to support you however needed during one of the most amazing times in your life.
